Letter to residents from East Cambs District Council…
Hello,
I am contacting you specifically because based on local information available, I believe that your property may be not be as energy efficient as it could be.
This means that your home might not be fully insulated (loft and or walls) and/or is using inefficient heating or fuel systems.
Energy inefficient homes cost more money to heat and contribute to the climate crisis. Furthermore, poorly insulated and heated homes have a direct and negative impact on the health and wellbeing of the people living in them, particularly people who are ill or not fully mobile.
East Cambs District Council has secured Government Funding to enable us to offer full funding to eligible home owners to install measures such as loft, cavity, room in roof and external wall insulation and some clean heating and energy producing solutions such as Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar PV.
Work on eligible properties will be undertaken by our appointed contractors ARAN INSULATION. Representatives from Aran will be visiting properties in the Woodditton area during August and will be happy to discuss eligibility with you directly. Aran representatives will carry and produce identification to confirm who they are.
Eligibility is dependent on two conditions:
- Your home must have an Energy Performance Certificate rating of E, F or G (Aran can check this for you).
- Your gross household Income is less than £30,000 per year or a member of your household is in receipt of an eligible benefit.
If you are interested in exploring this offer immediately please call ARAN to arrange an assessment on 0800 5877795 or 01284 812520 or enquire online at www.arangroup.co.uk/cambs-grants
Aran are also able to help you If you do not meet the eligibility criteria but would like to explore options yourself to fund improvements to the energy efficiency of your home.
Please be assured that this is a genuine offer. If you want to verify this please contact East Cambs District Council Customer Services team on 01353665555 and ask to speak to myself or my colleague Claire Finch in the Home Energy Team.
Many thanks
Lisa Eves – Home Energy Advisor
